Welcome to Neuplace. By accessing or using our application, website, or services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

"Neuplace is built for individuals seeking clarity and calm. We provide feed aggregation with strict operational boundaries and zero tolerance for abuse or security exploitation."

1. Beta Service Notice (MVP)

Please read this carefully. Neuplace is currently in an active development Beta phase. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Features May Evolve: The Service is undergoing continuous iteration. We may add, improve, or deprecate features at any time.
  • Storage Structures: How feeds and items are indexed may change over time to enhance speed and reliability.
  • Service Continuity: While we strive for high uptime, occasional maintenance or service updates may occur during beta.
  • Heuristic Algorithms: Certain exploratory features (like the Recon Engine signals) use mathematical heuristics and are continually tuned.

2. Description of Service

Neuplace is a personal discovery space designed to consolidate newsletters, YouTube uploads, podcasts, and RSS feeds into a unified, distraction-free discovery feed. We connect to third-party APIs (such as Google OAuth for Gmail and YouTube) on your explicit instruction to fetch content, process it according to your retention settings, and present it to you.

3. Connected Services & Authorizations

To use Neuplace integrations, you must authorize access via official OAuth mechanisms. By connecting these services:

  • You confirm that you possess the lawful authority to connect and grant access to the respective accounts.
  • You understand that Neuplace acts strictly as a read-only client fetching content on your behalf.
  • You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account security dashboard or directly within Neuplace settings.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to probe, scan, or compromise our infrastructure or reverse-engineer our software.
Submit malicious URLs or RSS endpoints crafted to perform Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF).
Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of our servers and networks.

5. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

Our Intellectual Property

Neuplace retains all legal rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all source code, software, UI/UX designs, trademarks, visual emblems, and algorithms.

Third-Party Content

You acknowledge that the content aggregated in your Neuplace feed (such as newsletters, YouTube videos, podcast media, and RSS articles) belongs exclusively to the original creators and publisher platforms. Neuplace claims zero ownership over third-party content.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts that violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time via your account settings. Upon account deletion, all personal data, cached tokens, and feed associations are permanently purged in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Neuplace disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Neuplace, its founders, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Neuplace following the posting of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revisions.
